1 Week Post Surgery Update

I'm pleased to say that all is going well.  It is exactly one week after my operation and apart from feeling shattered from the GA, everything else is going great!

The heavy bleeding has subsided so I am just lightly spotting now which is great.  I couldn't take that heavy bleeding much longer.  I must remember to take my iron tablets as it's been a while since I last took one.  Yeah, probably about a week......doh...!

I just realised that I am officially 'Fibroid Free'!  Well at least I am until those little bastards decide to grow back.  Here's hoping I have at least 5 years break from them, although I think that is an awful lot of wishful thinking...!!!

Bleeding After Surgery 19.01.12

My period was due on Sunday 15th January but because of my surgery on 16th January I had to take norehisterone for 3 days in order to delay it starting.

Directly after the surgery I had quite a bit of bleeding but this had subsided to pretty much spotting only by the time I went to bed (10pm) that night.

The next day I had light pink spotting and this lasted for another day until Wednesday 18th.  That morning I had serious cramps, which were bad enough for me to take a couple of paracetamol and a diclofinec.  The cramping continued throughout the morning and through to the afternoon then all of a sudden I started bleeding pretty heavily and have been ever since.

Thankfully The TCRF Operation Went Well

I am now back at my boyfriends house to recover after my second operation which took place on Monday 16th January.

I had a really rubbish nights sleep on Sunday night due to the anxiety of going into hospital the following morning.  I managed to get a few hours sleep and woke up at 6.45am and had to leave the house by 7.20am in order to be at the hospital for 7.30am.  I ended up arriving late at the hospital as I was running behind and this was only made worse by the fact that we had bad weather that morning.

I said goodbye to my boyfriend at the hospital door and then went up to the ward to be shown to my bed for the day.  Like my previous stay I had a bed right next to the window which was great, but unfortuantely there was a woman on the ward who had a cold and kept flipping coughing which happens to be a serious pet peeve of mine!!!

My 2nd (well 3rd) Op is today....

I need to be up in about 6 and a half hours and I feel wide awake - yet shattered.  Yes, I know that makes no sense but the sooner I go to sleep the sooner the operation will be here and I am really nervous.  Not nervous like I was for the operation in August 2011 but nervous all the same as there are risks involved in any surgery but now that I am on my third operation on my uterus I feel like I am pushing the odds a little............

I really hope that this operation goes well and that I come out of it okay and with my uterus intact!
